Spring 2010

This was my first time visiting this beautiful country. First, I flew to Girona and from Girona, I took a train to visit Barcelona. A fun fact while traveling by train is that, in Spain, they don't check your tickets often: it's more randomized. So, I witnessed a few people hopping on without a ticket until they spotted a conductor. Immediately they jumped out of the train and to me that was just wild. Once I arrived in Barcelona, I was surprised once again with their amazing subway system. I'm very familiar with the Korean subway and the New York City subway but it was my first time on a European one. It was so clean, organized and easy to navigate. Another interesting site was that it was common to spot lemon trees in the middle of the city! I hope to visit Spain again.
